anyone know if there is anything on around town to do with a bored 8 year old this saturday? Its been brilliant the last few weeks for 'things to do and see'.

Indeed the stone event looks like a winner, judging by the amount of canvas i saw on westbridge park last night you should be spared the forcasted inclement weather......

Hmm. I'm not sure a Food Festival would've been my idea of fun aged 8!

There doesn't appear to be much on from what i can see so you'll have to fall back on the regular stuff. Has he/she done the mouse hunt at the High House? The Shire Hall is a good place to mess around - try the sensory room if it's available maybe? St. Mary's is nice to look around and there is always Vicky Park.

You could look at the geegees at Dunstall Park and then point out the pix of steam trains in the great western

:pint:

I agree, he LOVES his food but I dont think would appreciate the food festival and was hoping for something actually in stafford not being a driving type person myself.
Yes he has done the mouse hunt, vicky park is always my fallback plan but not sure the weather will be good enough, we may have to stay in and bake a cake :)

The weather is supposed to be better tomorrow.

It has been my experience so far that 8 year-olds definitely do like cake. :)
