Me and some mates turned up last night, and had a great time. It was very reminiscent of old times at The Surgery in its heyday before "emo" music started making an appearance and driving the masses away... The DJ was a legend, and actually took requests which pleased most of us! Granted they could take a while to appear but that's understandable. And anything he didn't have, he said he'd look into getting for next week so score on that front too; none of this "sorry I don't have it" malarkey.
Sound levels were about perfect too - loud enough to headbang to and have a session on the dance floor, but quiet enough to have a conversation in the corner too.
My only niggle about the place is the lack of beers on tap(Stella and Peroni) but if the place takes off as a rock venue(amongst other musical tastes when those nights run) then I hope this changes. A great night's entertainment, thank you very much and we WILL be back for more.
Doors open from 8pm until late!
Why not try bugging them to go on a non-rock night, then you can guilt them into tagging along with you on the rock night?
