You lot are dangerous!

I was standing behind somebody once, when he (accidentally) put his forehead onto an exposed 440 volt contact. I took a step back, in order to position myself to kick him off it, but he managed to extricate himself before I could (damn!). When he turned to face me, somewhat dazed, he had a small hole in his forehead, with smoke coming out of it. He still has a small dimple there to this day...

Good grief! Husband drilled straight into an electric cable in the wall last year, nothing in particular happened though...a flash of light and then the electric went off....most disappointing!

Trip-wire on the stairs is the best way - just remove it before the police arrive - and use a soft, thick cord, so that there's no obvious mark on the skin of the lower leg area, in case they are a bit too observant. Fairly safe - for you....

..that, if you're in town and feeling just a little too warm, then you can simply go into The Works and benefit from their air-conditioning, which is currently set to 'Siberian'.

The staff could be at risk of hypothermia.

...that dropping large pieces of sturdy trellis on your knee really hurts, and leaves a big bruise ;(

... an empty crisp packet.

In a display of sublime origami, it had been neatly folded in on itself into an impressively small triangle - almost a work of art it was.

Shame the same care and attention couldn't have extended to putting it in the sodding bin.

Today I found you can't successfully freeze whole Bananas, despite the internet telling me you can.

You end up with a horrific slimey brown mess of goo. Lesson learned.

Not today, but this week I have found.....

12 loads of washing crammed into a washing basket and in the bottom of a wardrobe, a broken wardrobe door, a peeling window sill and bedroom door and 4 large empty jars of Keratin powder!

10 loads of washing done, 2 to do today.
Wardrobe door fixed and ready to rehang later today.
3 days spent sanding and glossing the window sill and door.

All this in teenage sons room (currently away on holiday). No mother should ever have to enter a teenage sons room!

21 odd socks (or socks with no friends as my daughter likes to call them).

I have finally finished cleaning, tidying, painting, scrubbing, and fixing teenage sons room.

Its taken a whole week.

He returns from his holiday in the early hours of tomorrow morning.

I estimate 24hrs before it looks like a cess-pit again.

*sigh*
