Last night I found a huge Daddy long legs in the living room.
It disappeared before I could whack it one, and I couldn't find it anywhere.
This meant I had to go to bed early and miss 8 out if 10 cats does countdown, for fear of it landing on me!

That SQL server 2008 R2 on a 2008 R2 64 bit server does not like talking to an Oracle 11g database. Not at all.

What is really annoying is that I did something in haste I can't undo, and my only option is to restore the server to a point 2 days ago where it still half worked. I can't do this til Monday as work is closed, and it is needed for Monday morning.

I just don't get on with Oracle on Windows, everything just seems to have multiple ways to do things many of which won't work regardless. Even the uninstall option just said please run a script then cut the end off the name so I couldn't see which! Not looking forward to Monday :(
