Today I Heard.....

Went for a walk with my sister up Seven Springs and clearly heard, rather than saw - a cuckoo. First one of the year for both of us.
There's a thread for that dontchaknow?

In other news, i sat on my swingy seat in the garden earlier, with closèd eyes, enraptured by the full-throated trillings of a blackbird with a seemingly unceasing repertoire of some of the finest music known to man 'n' beast.

Bliss it was in that eve to be alive, and all that.

I sort of almost heard the kind of conversation that you would really like to have listened more closely to, if you thought it might have been a bit more safe to do so.

It went along the lines of - 'so he came at me... his arms were like this... nobody was going to help me... so i went...

... and that's when they sectioned me'.

Gotta love this town. :)

I imagine he has every sunday marked off in his diary as: Car Boot today

For many years, a dog used to attend, apparently alone, and examine the goods in a methodical manner. It took me a couple of years to work out whose he was. He used to stop at the end of each aisle and make sure that she wasn't too far behind. He would get barked at by some of the other dogs and just look at them like they were letting the side down...

i like this thread.

It's always the people whom have nothing to say that say it the loudest, or those that talk zhit feel that their zhit needs to be listened to, whomever it may be.

...i didn't over hear this bytheway, that's my post in this thread!

...two Australians commenting at the boot sale that "the accent varies so much, and we're only a few miles from London" - I suggested that they try Stoke and, if they can cope with that, then maybe even Cannock, to see how much it can change in a lot fewer miles..

Have we done the Amazon review link on how people struggle to get into Wagner's ring.
We play this it out most Friday mornings at work saying you need to be in the team leaders inner ring to get a Saturday morning, this carries on whether someone has slipped out or is deep inside the ring. Oh well passes the time and raises a giggle.
