While getting my Covid jab in Westward Ho! took this picture of Lundy Island. It's about 20 miles distant so not much wrong with the visibility. Bloody cold though.

Her - Naoise.

I'll confess to not looking at it on Twitter, in case anybody feels it necessary to point out that they were clearly outside their 5km radius.

I think we can let them off given what they did. ;) I doubt social distancing was much of a problem up there.

That mountain Lugnaquillia is the only Munro in Ireland I have haven't done .. and I doubt I'll ever do it now. Naoise has got one up on me ... :D

Looking at some of the photos on Google Earth those mountains remind me a bit of the Cairngorms. Rounded plateau like tops, which lends itself to strong winds. I bet it's bloody cold up there today ....
I suspect it was yesterday, although I've been out for a walk on both days and it was pretty bloody sharp down here - yesterday was worse.

In reply to me re-using - verbatim - a direct quote from them, aimed at me.

Unfortunately i am not equipped with such a rapier wit as his to reply with such brio.
Oh it's my turn for the 'humiliation' from the most intellectual and superior forum crack addict, before he cowers back into the darkness of his own misery, is it.

Do piss off, nobody cares any more, I don't think...

At least he did it in public, I got what I can only assume was supposed to be a 'I'm more clever than you' DM.
Well that's an unfortunate reading of it - you went a bit ad hominem and i was stung by it because, for what it's worth, your voice is one of those in this place that i value.

What an extraordinary set of assumptions you make.

Your voice, not so much - more than happy to leave you to your febrile imaginings.
