Moment of panic then seeing something scuttling across the carpet. Quite a relief even though it was a bloody great big monster of a spider. At least it wasn't a mouse

... i have of late, but wherefore i know not, been a bit of a dick.

I have let petty annoyances come to the boil and spill over. It has soured the relationship i have had with this community.

To anyone that i have offended, upset, annoyed, or just generally pissed off, i extend my apologies.

Some time out is in order.

Have got the impression this noise and light show is heading my way for tonight. Might have to cancel my 'shenanigans on the roof' for another day.

Well, we haven't had a huge a mount of rain, just some short, sharp downpours, welcome though they are.

I saw no lightning, either, but the noise level was fairly dramatic.

It has now drifted westwards and seems to be intensifying a bit...

We do still have the potential for more water from the tail-end.

Tuned one browser to the SDR radio at Enschede in the Netherlands on a low frequency, 147 KHz and another browser to the Blitzortung lighting strike detection site. You can clearly see the strikes interference on the SDR receiver from as far away as Russia, Black Sea and Turkey. Some in northern and southern France and very intense over the North Sea and Denmark.

I'm sat watching lightning strikes effect on a receiver in the Netherlands on a Saturday Morning.

Jeez I need to get out more ...

A black Audi (I think it was) with green tinged headlights. Is that even legal? Wasn't the bulbs, the whole casing the bulb was in.

Enjoying a drop of red.

Chavtastic.

Well illegal of course but plod won't do a thing as the owner of such a thing is likely to be trouble when stopped.

I went for a bit of a pedal this morning. The forecast was overcast all day, and it was until about midday, when the Sun burnt the cloud off and it became very warm. I got attacked by this green scaly plant version of Godzilla as I climbed out of the Coombe Valley, a steep hill that renders you physically helpless against a monster.

Now don't get me wrong, over the years I've been attacked by green scaly monsters many times on my way home from the pub at night. But it's a bit much when the bastards are coming out in daytime.

As a result of this since I have to pass my local on the way home, I dropped in for three pints of seriously cold lager. Went down a treat as I sat outside the pub and watched envious drivers in the traffic jam that is now the main road through the village.
