what happened to the idea of a points system for all the forum users?

I'll see what I can do. I'm concentrating on making the basic infrastructure solid before I start implementing any crazy shenanigans, but rest assured it will come.

Are you basically saying that each user will have a "How 'Ford am I?" rating, which will be affected by various criteria signifying their loyalty/love for the 'Ford? If that is the case, I will need a list of criteria that people feel should be considered.

number of years st service (how long you lived here innit)
number of times in the newsletter
number of times completed stafford half marathon
number of gigs/dj sets played in the ford
number of local events helped organised
weather you have worked at argos/gec/dormon diesels?

lol i've never heard of dormon diesels, but i think we all know a good few people who have worked at argos direct at some point.. that place is like a black hole for staffordians!

dorman diesels....that big factory on the tixall road- you know if you go the back way to town from baswich?

but yeah, would be cool if post count contributed to an overall "Fordtastic" score..

Well, I've made a start on this ranking business. You will now have stars under your name, which relate directly to the number of posts you have made. I'll leave it up to you lot to find out what the various "thresholds" are.

If you mean the little rank "pips" keep changing, it's because I'm messing about with it, trying different rank icons.

I think I'll stick with these little green ones for now. If anyone has any better ideas, PM me.
