Police seize bikes and ban youths from town centre
Police will be continuing their operation in Stafford this weekend

Police confiscated the bikes in Stafford

Police have seized two bikes and banned their riders from a town centre for 48 hours during a crackdown in a town centre.

The bikes were confiscated in Stafford town centre as police tackle anti-social behaviour in the town.

Now police have also announced they plan to continue to target nuisance cyclists in the county town in coming days.

A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: "Local officers have completed an operation in Stafford town centre to tackle the anti social behaviour around youths on pedal cycles.

"We have seized two bikes from youths riding in a dangerous manner through the pedestrian area.

"The riders were also excluded from the town centre for 48 hours.

"We shall continue to target nuisance cyclists over the weekend."

We all know a certain cyclist they've been ignoring for years!

Seriously though, I hoped this was about all the drunks wandering about the town with cans of special brew.

I hope the police have confiscated the bikes and football from some of the youths that hang about outside of macdonalds in the evening.

Ive seen the youths kick footballs at passers by and ride dangerously close to people.

Ive previously confiscated a football from them.

I've seen 15 youth kids on bikes going through town.

I'm sure the town center didn't use to be such a state there's many things that make it not a pleasent walk through sometimes, especially at night, I don't mean the obvious drinking days either, just 7-9 pm on a normal weekday..
