Today was absolutely tremendous

Many thanks must go to Mike Hughes (SRFC Secretary) for battling the weather to open the stadium up for us this morning so we could do some filming for our promo video of the upcoming charity football match. www.naccpo.org.uk

Obviously we couldn't get on the pitch to do the action shots we wanted but were lucky enough to get ex Stoke and Aston Villa goal keeper Neil "cuts" Cutler over from blizzard swept Bridgnorth to do a piece infront of the lenses (And a few out takes)

But the best came early when minutes after we arrived TV star and famous football fanatic Nick Hancock turned up and spent the whole morning advising us on various aspects of our event promotion. He gave us an interview and some quotes to camera for the film and was generally a great inspiration to us on such a bleak day. :bravo:

What a absolute gent he was and much praise to him for taking time out of his own TV recording / filming schedule to come down to help us out. Legendry Stoke city fan Nick was invaluable giving all sorts of advise on how to improve our promo film attempt.

I realise there are some that feel this event won't particularily help Stafford or SRFC much but let me tell you all, that if the efforts of the fans and stars like today are anything to go by it could bring a large crowd in to the event, I genuinely believe that purely by filling the place in April it will generate a new resolve locally for people to WANT to visit Stafford and Rangers in particular and SRFC will hopefully be viewed as a venue where people can "have fun and enjoy themselves" which hopefully will translate into bigger crowds next season and in turn more trade in general locally ??? :stafford:

What have we got to lose ??? Let's all get behind this and tell as many people to support the event as possible !!!

A saying someone told me once really seems to ring true here . . . . .

" WHERE THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO LOOSE BY TRYING and EVERYTHING TO GAIN IF SUCCESFULL it will be an IDIOT WHO DECIDES NOT TO TRY . . . . . . DO IT NOW ! "

I am all for a laugh and a joke but this event means a lot to the me and the charity AND the football club and the town of Stafford ! :stafford:

Please help us by directing as many people as possible to look at / join our FACEBOOK group or this thread / site etc

So far pledged to help the cause however they can have been . . . . .

Nick Hancock, Cyrille Regis, Don Goodman, Paul Ware, Darren Simkin, Chris Brindley, Phil Robinson, Ian Wright, Mel Eves, Neil Cutler, John Purdie, George Berry, Jeremy Bates, Rachael Hey-Hoe Flint, Jimmy Greenoff, Graham Shaw, Wayne Biggins, Phil Heath, Terry Conroy and many more

These people are either giving there time, effort or other help to make this a great day ! What we need to try to do is get people to attend to enjoy the spectacle and make it an event to be talked about in Stafford for years to come !!!

So :help: :stafford:

Contact me ! Tell others to do the same !

Cheers

THANK YOU ALL VERY MUCH !

Has anyone seen the Staffordshire Newsletter back page and the other article in the post !

Fame at last !

Seriously more good news . . . . ex Aston Villa legend Briab Little has just agreed to support the event and help out wherever possible, the whole thing is starting to gather momentum and is now getting noticed further a field !!!

TELL everyone to be there !!!

UNLIKE any normal charity event, we are NOT asking for donations / money to be pledged ! We just want / need 3000 people to come and have a great time at SRFC on 25th April 2010 and the money will have been raised !!!

BE THERE !!!

Cheers :)
