Using my D300s to create a couple of show reels

I'm basically looking for a recommendation on an affordable microphone to use with my D300s in order to make a couple of show reels. Better still if someone knows where I can beg/borrow/steal one
They are only for my own website.

I have a SM58 that you could borrow but it uses phantom power. Though as I don't know you, some sort of security arrangement would be wise, unless you get a better offer elsehwhere.

Have you tried asking at the college, maybe?
