Not sure if anyone on here offers this but if not then if you have any home made VHS tapes that you would like to put to DVD, I have the equipment to do it and am willing to offer the service to anyone who would like to have this done, You just need to provide the disc's which are DVD-R's not really thought of a price as of yet. Was thinking maybe 50p per VHS converted

Very good deal, don't have any myself but if anyone I know does then I'll be in touch. TBH mate I'd say a quid a vid, thats still a great price and it does take your time up.

well to do a video i have to let the video play fully and if people wnat more than one video to go on a dvd then i have to actually watch it too see when it has finished, But Thanks tek-monkey Will set the Price at £1 per VHS and I will supply the DVD disc

Also please note this will not cover store brought VH tapes as that will breach copyright laws etc so it is home made video's

I've been looking for something like this for a while. I've got some old "video diary" tapes of when the kids were babies that I need transfering to DVD. And a quid a go is a bargain! I'll send you a message in the new year.

Different job I know but would you be able to transfer some video footage from a camera memory card to disc?

Are you not allowed to make a backup for personal use?

bit of a grey area though really, your allowed a backup but if you get rid of the orignal then the copy has to be destroyed within 24 hours, but the process you use to remove the copy protection i believe is illegal.

Smashing job thanks. Didn't realise the disks I gave you weren't suitable, if you let me know what sort you used I'll get a pack should I need any more doing.
Once again many thanks, skill awarded.

I used dual layer DVD + R's i only used that type so that i could fit all the video files on the one disc, rather than splitting them across the 2 dvd's. if there is not that many video files in the future they may well fit on the discs you gave to me.

Pretty sure trumpet will agree the price i charged was more than fair, But i will only do VHS tapes that do not have copy protection, on the up side i may well be able to fit more than on VHS tape onto DVD

A friend was asking if you can get MP4 footage on to DVD.
Regarding earlier posts I was indeed more than happy with what I was charged.

I have some old camcorder tapes from years ago. They are the small cassettes, which fit into a bigger cassette to play in the VHS.(Sorry about the non-existent technical jargon!).
They used to play OK but then towards the end of our VHS's life ,the picture starting rolling on all of them. We didn't know at the time whether it was the VHS not tuned in properly,or the tapes fault.

Does it sound as though these could be copied to DVD successfully?

Trouble is,as you said you have to sit and watch them all through....could be a bit embarrassing as there's a right old mixture of my sons baby years, the dog, and then holiday videos with me after a few beers and possibly some in my skimpy bikini :heyhey:
