It may be possible if you have the tape adapter if not i could get my hands on an adapter i guess, If i can help it with the vhs to dvd conversions i try and watch something else and just let each tape run through lol.

I have such a converter if anyone wants to borrow it. What I can do is hook up with you gdavies and you can put my old home movies on a dvd. Mine similar to staffordjas, but without the skimpy bikinis.

DVD native video is MP4, is it not?
a form of mp4 is also native for mobile phones etc which use a different codec inside the mp4, either way it can be done lol

Taken me all weekend as I sorted out all the cupboards as I went along,on my mission to find them !

Just spotted an old lunch box high up that looks like they could be lurking in....had a few ciders though, so daren't climb up again tonight.

Will be back onto it again in the morning :)

The first image that flashed through my mind at the mention of Top Of The World was Johnny Pickup dancing around the handbags with us LOL

Have located the videos along with the VCR Adaptor. Got quite a few though ,so will have to have a chat with hubby later to find out which ones to have a bash at doing first.(He's got a better memory of what's on them than me......don't want you watching anything too embarrassing ;) ).

Did you say that you would supply the Disc or do I bring my own DVD+RW with me? (We have just bought a new Panasonic DVD Recorder and half of my old home-recorded DVD's aren't compatible with it. Managed to format a lot of them to be able to use on this new one,but it just isn't having the others.)

I will ring you when I've sorted out which ones to have an attempt at.

Thanks - I've already slung the discs out that it didn't like though . (OOOPS - Just don't tell hubby that you might have been able to save them! )

The video cassettes say 45 VHSc - So I assume that means maximum 45 minutes on them? As you can tell by now I'm very very up on these things

I am VERY pleased with the DVDs that were made up by gdavies, from my old videomatic tapes.

We have enjoyed a good old laugh watching them several times over. Embarrassing to think someone else has actually seen how bad we are at filming and presenting LOL . But some really good memories came flooding back!

Thanks again :)

Top man, I'll drop the card and a couple of discs off either tonight or tomorrow after work.
First try with new camera so looking forward to seeing results.
