Warning About the Sheridan Centre Car Park

Just copied & pasted this message from the Face Book Group 'Stafford Remembered' about the above.

" Just a warning to fellow motorists about the car park at the Sheridan Centre (by Iceland) Stafford. They have been fining motorists even when they have paid for their parking. When you challenge them they reduce it to £20.00 from £60.00 saying it is an administration charge!!!!! PLEASE KEEP YOUR TICKETS as they send you the fine ONE MONTH AFTER you have parked. Probably in the hope that you have discarded your ticket and have no proof that you have paid. I myself have fallen victim to this and my fine is now up to £100.00 and i am still fighting them as i have paid to park and still have my ticket. So please be vigilant."

Several others also posted similar warnings, if you get a notice ignore it its a scam.

Had the same thing only never recieved a first letter with any evidence of the parking infringement. We asked for some kind of evidence and they refused to comply saying they have nothing to do with that side of it, they only collect money. We have the parking ticket from the day in question showing the correct payment and reg of the car. I told them they aint getting a penny and to take me to court. So far weve been sent 5 threats to pay now 2 letters from an enforcement agency which is basicly the same company with a different name pretending to be debt collectors to scare you into paying. They are real scum con artists. I hope someone gets pissed off enough to go find their offices and give them a little lesson in karma. Seems like they just try it on to see who falls for it and extract some cash. I will never park there again.

Its brittania parking i think. I have about 3 friends who have had fines and paid up because they didnt have the ticket and got worried by the threatening letters to take them to court. Each one had paid the correct parking fee. Like the OP says, it seems they wait a month knowing most people throw their tickets and then try it on. Do not park on that car park ever, its run by criminals.
