***WITH THE ELECTION AROUND THE CORNER - LOVE MUSIC HATE RACISM - RAISING AWARENESS***

This night brings back to Stafford the band that were formerly known as The Heights, now known as WE//ARE/ANIMAL and based in Wales, along with FLASH FIKTION.

WE//ARE//ANIMAL are described as follows:

"Giving We Are Animal's 1268 another
spin this weekend to give a little boost
for the tour. Its such a classic."
Tom Robinson BBC radio 6

"IDOLISE is raw, big and ace"
The FLYMAG

Highlife guitars meet kraut-ish tendencies,
synths and swooning vocal harmonies in W//A//A
LONDON'S 'TIME OUT'

This We Are Animal album is serrated, slinky and
alive with sawtooth vibrations. Dim pap, bob pop
ADAM WALTON BBC RADIO WALES

Currently with a single out on:
TOO PURE//BEGGARS BANQUET *SINGLE RELEASE*
http://www.toopure.com/
'1268' will be available to buy on the 7th of JUNE

Supporting ably, we will also have London art-rockers FLASH FIKTION. Describing themselves as thus: Forget the grim reality of modern living, Flash Fiktion are a living, modern Brothers Grimm. A collective of separatists since 2008, this trio have been practically living as one organism in a cold and dark rented lock up in a culturally isolated corner of South London. But looking inwards and breathing outwards has created a source of warmth and light, a technicoloured dream-pop storybook depicting a world completely at odds with today’s economic and environmental gloom. Flash Fiktion is the way out, Flash Fiktion is on the way in.

LESS IS MORE.

Top rocking and/or rolling.

Enjoyed immensely - even to the point of having a kebab on the way home. My love for The Fordsquad is documented enough.

Flash Fiktion a find - top set.

Only quibble - where are you Stafford? - come along and enjoy. This is our town, don't you want quality live music in your town?

Sorry for the accusatory tone - as may be imagined from the kebab consumption beforehand i was more than amply refreshed at the time.

What i admire most about the fordsquad is that here is a group of folk who have not sat and grumbled about a lack of 'scene' but set about creating one.

The music may not always be to everyone's taste, it certainly isn't always to mine, but surely tis something to be supported.

Know what you mean about the tinnitus though, my left ear retains slight residual ooooooooo - but anyone who has an interest in the art of the Sound Technician really should see Jim in action.
