Nice area, good schools. No local takeaway, unless you like chips. No more trouble than any other area, in fact it is a nice place to live. Just so you know, I'm not biased, I do not live in the Weeping Cross area.

Weeping Cross, Baswich and that general area is one of the better areas IMHO. You're at the top of a hill and so there's very little chance of getting flooded unlike Radford bank.

Nice area, nice shops (sandwiches) good schools, no chance of flooding. Most takeaways in stafford deliver. Not far from the Radford Bank pub that does a carvery.

My advice drive round it. Then drive round Highfields, then drive round Doxey. No brainer.

Not forgetting that the premier educational establishment for the above mentioned environ has a reputation for liking the old columbian marching powder.... allegedly.......

i used to live on hillcroft park, a,d in my opinion the area's sond, but lots of the kids in the area are jumped up pricks who think they're better than everyone else as they've got a bit of wedge. if i lived in the town i'd rather send my kids to blesso's

I don't know about "better" but they are probably are better prepared. Parents who have done well have a positive attitude and this rubs off on the kids. Parents from a poorer background often have a defeatist attitude as they haven't done well themselves.

Saw a test where parents and their kids had to put their hand into really cold water for as long as they could. The parents and children from better off backgrounds managed much longer than those from a poorer background who said "I can't do it".

I lived in that area until I was 17 or 18, then again for a few months when I was 24.

The primary schools are all great and (AFAIK) get consistently good OFSTED reports; there's plenty of park areas; decent shops (for stuff you'd expect to buy locally); you're on the edge of Cannock Chase. I can't think of any bad things that couldn't be applied to anywhere else.

Drugs are used by kids in all high schools in Stafford/England/the world. I'm not sure what you're referencing here basil, but I can almost guarantee that every school Stafford has a problem with drugs...they may not all know to what extent though.

Has there been some big scandal I've missed in the paper, or are you the Pablo Escobar of The 'Ford?
