Does anyone have any info on the artist / song title for the Glasses Direct tv ad song. Lots of people guessing but not nailing it so perhaps something specially commissioned for the ad (?)

Have you tried going direct, to Glasses Direct?

They sound like they'd be super up for that sort of thing.

John Barry, master soundtrack writer. Much as I enjoyed the Harry Palmer films (the name was a movie construct, the character was nameless or false identities in the books,) the novels were probably the best of the spy crop in the 60's. Very grey and cynical, which is what the spy business was like back then. (And still is to some extent, although the catering size tins of Nescafe have been replaced with super computers.) :roll:

However the original tins of ships biscuits and boiled sweets were still in the emergency stores 40 years later

and by 2004 the stock of ball point pens supplied to the bunkers in 1964 hadn't been replaced but had completely dried out

I was at sea 21 years and I never saw any such biscuits !! (Mind you, there were a lot of very overweight weevils staggering about … :fap::quagmire: )
