Played cities skylines for an hour yesterday, apparently not played since early may. Thought it'd been 2 months tops!

I've wiped my PS3 as I'm getting rid of it.

i just bought myself an xbox, because a too-good-to-miss deal popped up on HUKD (brand new 1TB model with Fallout 3 and 4 for £220 delivered) and i haven't owned a console since the original wii.. suffice to say, i'm a bit out of touch, so when i first booted up fallout 4 and saw the graphics it blew my mind!

loving it so far, but i'm not used to games being so big and open, so it's taking me ages to do anything because i'm scared i'll miss something so end up searching and going over things really slowly and meticulously :ninja:

I was never a fan of open world games until The Long Dark and Fallout - although I do tend to miss quite a bit....

On the xbox one I currently have on rotation

COD - Advanced Warfare
Wolfenstein - New Order
Frozen Free Fall (strangely addictive)
Lego Batman 3 (daughter loves it)

Then I have the stuff I owned on 360 that I can play via Backwards compatability. The disk is full so will be getting an external drive shortly...

I take a similar view with such games however once the campaign bit is completed and you're just searching around trying to fill in that missing 8.3% to get to 100% complete then my attention starts to wander....

PS4 purchased with the Unchartered Collection, GTA V and Journey. Just bought The Last of Us and have ordered Until Dawn which is due to arrive early next week.
Should keep me going for a while.

Now to purchase a PS+ subscription.

ooh, wolfenstein - that name brings back some memories! as i mentioned earlier, i'm somewhat new to this (and the previous) generation of gaming, so i know barely anything about what the kids are playing these days.. is there a new wolfenstein game, then? is it the same kind of first person shooter as the classic wolfenstein 3D from the 90s?

love the sound of lego batman as well.. or lego anything, for that matter!

Yes the wolfenstein game is indeed a first person shooter (same hero except this time the Germans won the war and he woke up in a 60s world dominated by Nazis).

If you haven't already, sign up for Xbox live Gold. You can get a 12 month pass for around 20 quid via www.cdkeys.com. with Xbox live Gold you get a up to 4 free games each month, 2 for the the Xbox one and 2 for the 360 that you can play on the Xbox one....

i got 3 months free xbox live gold because it was a new console.. i signed up for it, but so far have yet to use it.. none of the "free" games seem any good, and i don't know what else it's used for! what's the point of it (xbox live gold)? as in, why do people pay for it? presumably it does something more than just a couple of crappy free games each month? i feel like i'm missing something lol..

is there a mario kart style racer for xbox one? i hate real racing games (forza, GT, etc.
yawn.gif
) but used to love mario kart.. i had sonic & SEGA all star racers on the wii, which was brilliant.. anything similar for xbox one? i have an 8 month old little girl, who loves a racing toy that we got her for christmas, so i'm thinking when she's old enough she might like playing it with me :)

The gold xbox live mainly facilitates online playing and the ability to use certain apps. Plus you get reduced prices for some of their promotions on downloaded games. With the xbox one you can buy games from other xbox markets as the cost of the games and promos vary from country to country (search the web for details of how to do it). I picked up the lego avengers game last year for £4.50 from the Canadian Xbox store. The lego games in general are good fun for kids.

If you're selling, I might be interested. Especially if you have Gran Turismo....
Unfortunately it's already gone. I traded the console plus 16 games (but not including Gran Turismo) in when I bought the PS4.
