    No way!!

We MUST have seen each other!

I was wearing an array of ugly hats throughout the week (dayglow pink beanie / navy bobble hat / brown trilby) ....

I can’t believe there was another forumite there!

    Wasn’t it totally brilliant?

I could have been spotted in a Laphroig bobble hat, a big hood and a cycling helmet, though not all at once.

We went to all the distillery days. If you were at Ardbeg yesterday, I was in the conga.

It was the best! Was it your first time? It was ours and hoping to go again next year!

We came home yesterday sadly so missed it!

If you were at Ardnahoe we were with the rowdy group who were dancing!

I cycled to Ardnahoe and tried to get a photo of the lettering on the new distillery but they wouldn’t let me in. I think that might have been the day we went to Bowmore?

If you went to Ardnahoe you will have passed the farm where we were staying. If you passed a cyclist, it was me!

We went for the first time last year and loved every minute. I’d happily move there. Did you get to Portnahaven? The seals there sing. It’s the most magical place in the world. 85EC531A-A31F-4E57-9242-D01B588B4451.jpeg

Sorry! I haven't stopped since school started again!

We must have passed each other as we did Bowmore in the morning and Ardenhoe in the afternoon!

I didn't see the seals! Gutted! Oh well definitely a stop for next year!

Reminds me of Popeye Doyle, our maths teacher at Dartmouth St (Kingston.)

His nickname was: "Tirty Tree and a Turd."

(He was Irish .. got me through my maths O level.) :embarrass:

Billy Twelvetrees (Rugby Union player) has the nickname, "36". This was given to him by the (Irish) skipper for Leicester Tigers, Geordan Murphy. ;)

    This was last weekend.
We've been collecting plates from charity shops and the Wedgwood factory shop.
Bought some connectors from e bay.
Husband drilled holes in plates and we made our own afternoon tea cakes stands.

It’s fair to say we lost a few plates.

We put plenty of gaffer tape on both sides to act as a shock absorber and husband had to buy a bit for his drill specifically for glass and tile.

We had a really busy and exhausting weekend.
We’d planned a village afternoon tea in our garden to raise funds for Bednall Church.
We got quite a lot of help from villagers ranging from people making cakes, scones, sandwiches, lending us china, helping us move chairs and tables, put up bunting, donate raffle prizes, sell tickets, serve food and drink, clear up, wash up, tidy away.
Tickets were £7.50 for sandwiches, cakes, scones with jam and cream. A selection of 9 different teas or coffee if preferred.
If people wanted prosecco or beer that was available on a pay what you want/make a donation basis.
The sun shone all day, and we welcomed nearly 60 people into our garden.

Getting ready, this is the breeze house, we love this feature and it was the first seating area to get chosen on Saturday.

Here are a few photos of the garden later in full swing.

People were very generous, either buying raffle tickets or with their drinks donations.
We raised £920 which we’re all thrilled with.
Yesterday was spent returning everyone’s tea pots, cake stands and various bits and bobs, and getting the garden and kitchen straight again
Totally worn out but very happy with the end result.

2, You could have had Nigerian Guinness available at the Breeze House.

3, So glad that GeoBuild got you off to such a good start on this project...

4, Have you rung up about that street light being on all day yet?
