If we had the same themes there could be a good trade of scarecrows round all the villages.

Coppenhall & Hyde Lea have a scarecrow competition as part of the annual fete. Usually some very good efforts to be seen.

We were in Ludlow.
Took her to the Smokehouse, we like it there.
We had never been before so we just went for the day, took the dog, walked round by the river, explored the town and had a lovely picnic.
We both thought it was a gorgeous town.

Smashing place, we probably get down there about half a dozen times a year. Going down for one of the food festivals in the autumn.

Today I 'fixed' my cracked passenger door mirror. It took quite a long time to get round to it, as the 'replacement' turned out not to be identical to the cracked one. It was intended to clip onto a slightly larger disc. Having obtained a couple of tins of Wilkinson's Hoppy Copper Beer kits for somebody else, I noticed that the plastic lid, containing the instructions and the yeast, was slightly larger than I would need to make a suitable adaptor plate. It seems to work OK so far - the adjustments all work smoothly. Just a matter of a test-drive to check its security and lack of rattling.
