    Chilli.

Is mulled wine supposed to make your face numb? Asking for a friend.

I'm on my (friends) first glass! This must be why I don't like wine.

In that case you need to drink more, much more and the numbness will subside...

Just done a cottage pie for tonight. Family favourite. Serve with processed peas, garden peas or baked beans - haven’t decided yet.

Baked beans? I'm with @That-Crazy-Rat-Lady, it's got to be Garden peas as processed peas are only for serving with Faggots & mash.

Curry tonight, I'm cooking so it's a jar of Pataks Madras sauce, chicken, pepper & spinich. We have some spiced roti or veg samosas, not sure which to use yet.

Baked beans do not never ever go with cottage pie.
    Garden peas every time.

Last night and tonight we had corned beef pie with sweetcorn.

The OH puts peas and carrots in the cottage pie. Took me a long time to admit that was okay.

Tomato puree? I love tomatoes but they do not belong in cottage pie. :raise:

That’s fine, don’t put it in yours then. Put whatever you want in and I will carry on using puree.

I use tomato puree, couple of dollops of brown sauce and a big splash of Worcestershire sauce.

Apologies if the emoji didn't show my sarcasm. Each to their own.

Until I was an adult I called it shepherds pie, as that's what my mother called it. One of the many ways she damaged me!

I don't actually have a veggie / vegan go to shepherds pie recipe (although I defo want to now!)

If I did I would add the same as Carole - plus peas and carrots!
