What's for dinner/tea?

Twice I've dumped stuff at the checkout and left without buying anything because they couldn't be arsed to come over and take my money. Not been back since.

I have just started cooking my tea.

It took a bit longer to start than I had hoped.

I needed to go to the Shed for a chisel.

I only needed one chicken fillet for the casserole, but it was very firmly attached to the other one in the freezer.

None of the "domestic utensils" were up to the job of separating them.

All is bubbling away gently now.

Traditional Chinese hot pot tonight ... like what we used to have in Hong Kong.

Looks fantastic, what's in the big pot?
The big pot is what is used to cook the food. We used chicken and vegetable stock cubes with spring onions and Chinese turnip in. Then you just cook whatever food you have in the liquid. It’s a great way of eating as a family as you choose what you want and cook it yourself. Can also be a meal that takes a long time as you can just stop cooking for a period of time.
Very popular in Hong Kong in the cooler months.
