I think The Fox service is a bit ropey, only been to The Oakley once so can't compare too much.

The few times I've been the service has been friendly and efficient without being pushy. A fine balance on that one.
Perhaps got lucky.

Soup, it was soup last night too and the previous night and the two nights before that. It will be soup tomorrow and Saturday, Sunday too and lunch. Soup with no lumps, baby food kind of soup.
Monday is op day, guess what I'll be eating Monday night? Yup soup. Houston hope it's without chicken ^

Fox now

Beer was good
Building still lovely
Too many booked tables - used to be more available for blow ins
More crucially the food was served luke warm and took an age
Nobody asked how was the meal
Chips - air filled frozen - cheap
Disappointing

Shall head back to Brewood next time and give this one a miss

Decent 6oz burgers (Perrys Eccleshall) on a garlic toasted ciabatta crouton, smothered with sautéed chorizo, mushrooms, onions, yellow pepper and garlic. Topped with melted mozzarella.

I'd like to take this belated opportunity to thank thee @Trumpet for the Hairy Bikers chicken recipe from a few pages back that has found its way into the rotation.

It is some good eating.

Mrs T out tonight, just had a 1Kg bucket of spicy chicken wings and barbecue chicken drumsticks with 4 thick slices of toasted garlic ciabatta. I've left 2 drumsticks, feel such a failure.
The 3rd bottle of Thatchers 2016 vintage is easing my pain.

Last night was goats cheese and pesto tortellini in an arrabiata sauce with extra spinach, accompanied with some garlic ciabatta bread.
