Ooh, sounds good.

Last night I had beef and horseradish sausages that I'd got from a stall at the makers market and frozen. Nowhere near as good as I'd hoped.
Oh no, they sound great, with some mash and onion gravy...

Not enough horseradish I don't think.

When I landed in Australia at the start of my 3 months out there, completely and utterly homesick and jetlagged, I dumped my bags at the hostel and went to get breakfast. I had a fry up and almost cried when I tried the sausage and realised it was beef not pork.

Chicken Pathia!

My favourite curry dish, but not from a takeaway... I found a store online that sells a spice mix (Pathia sauce is not available to buy in jars), so MrLittleme is making it for tea... Can't wait!

The OH boss' wife is Indian and he goes round their house a lot when he's away for work. She's taught him how to make a very good chicken curry, mater keema and mater paneer but still wants to get a takeaway as often as I let him!

Well, wow!

10 out of 10 to both MrLittleme & Curry Frenzy.

You can't buy Chicken Pathia sauce, but I've found a website where you can buy premixed curry spices, I wasn't convinced when they arrived as they didn't smell the same as a finished curry, but when the other ingredients were added (the recipe & other instructions are on the packet, it even included instructions on how to make onion puree if it couldn't be bought) it was EXACTLY the same as my beloved Narvarnas chicken Pathia. We are definatly going to buy more & try lots of new ones.

Looks like giving Curryfrenzy a go.
I currently use these, usually pick up a selection from Brum when we go.

I need some spices Tesco appear to have discontinued, the world food aisle is normally my friend, and without being in the Walsall vicinity I'm going to use that site too I think. Thanks @littleme
The packet looks like this...

Complete instructions on the front. We've worked out that each packet contains enough spice mix for 3 meals for 4 people (12 single meals (or if you are piggys like us 3 meals for 3 people), 3 packets of spices, any 3, for £7.98 with free delivery....

Thanks for this @littleme

I've just had a look at their website and they do other world spice kits as well. The Gurka chicken kit and the aromatic beef kit look interesting.

They also have lots of Indian recipes from scratch on the website.

Some interesting ones there, thanks @littleme

Tonight we had fish. Was in Morrisons in Stone and they had a box of fish for a fiver, says minimum of 1.4kg but ours was 2.2! Even after gutting/cleaning/decapitating we had 1.5kg of fish left, bit of a mix but offhand I think there was:

1 x Mackeral
2 x Sole
4 x Herring
8 x Sardine

Tonight we ate the sardines

Well, I never knew they did those, I'm not a great fish fan, but I like 3 out of 4 of those..... May have to make a special trip

I never normally go to morrisons, but I finally have a car and nowhere to drive to! Seemed a great deal.

It’s worth the trip to Stone for the greater selection of fish they usually have. Not sure whether that is the case at the moment though.

Their meat counter is usually good as well but a little more expensive than other supermarkets.

I've been told this fish box isn't a usual occurrence, or at least nobody I know that shops there has seen it before. I didn't even realise Stone had a Morrisons!

I just had an email from curry frenzy as I've placed another order, if any of you order from them enter this code on the order form, 1008884 and you will also receive a free complimentary curry kit, there's also a page where there is a free seasoning or curry kit to add to your order every month.

Don't forget to add your email address on the order as well as you get other special offers. :)

Unfortunately it's my day off work, so apparently I have to cook, after the last disaster (I seem to have forgotten how to cook) I've kept it simple, Hunters chicken (ready made from Aldi), Dauphinoise potatoes, asparagus and tenderstem broccoli, nom nom nom....
