We eat our main meal in the evening at about 7.00pm. (It used to be later before lockdown when husband was commuting from Birmingham).
I do love food but we are careful with what we eat.
I do love this thread and observing what you all cook, but we just can’t eat some of the lovely recipes for health reasons, no cooking with cream etc.
I don’t do breakfast but at about 11.00am I’ll probably re heat last night’s leftovers. Yes, sometimes salmon pasta, or curry, at 11.00am, I don’t waste food.
If we don’t have leftovers then I’ll make a sandwich.
At some point I’ll make a fruit smoothie with banana, yoghurt, milk and strawberries.
Evening meal is usually something easy and healthy.
Tonight was salmon side, jersey royal potatoes and courgettes.
We eat fish most days, then chicken once or twice a week and beef about twice a month.
I’d say we probably do the Mediterranean diet thing, loads of fresh fruit and veg, and salad, and mainly fish which we both adore.
We never ever do pudding unless we’re having a dinner party, ( not now obviously).
Husband can’t cook, won’t cook, so he is genuinely grateful for what is put in front of him unless it’s a hot curry or anything with chilli.
But healthy eating for the most part, today we had sausage rolls.
Pastry is just such a lovely thing.
