What's your advice for visitors to Stafford?

I imagine other people have had an email from Tripadvisor asking to rate or comments on Stafford.
People's thoughts?

Two reviews for five dollars was the going rate

"Not quite handy enough for Alton Towers and lacking a single excellent restaurant, Stafford has a small but pretty park where you can queue for buses for the V Fest.
The town's best looking building is about to be sold off, possibly for a third JD Wetherspoon bar, and the most recent major piece of architecture has a semi permanent scaffold surrounded by a collection of balls.
Night life - trains to Birmingham - 35 minutes"

Shame Telly Savalas isn't still alive. We could have him make a promotional film on Stafford like he did for Birmingham
'The Newport Road. More sets of traffic lights than 5th Avenue. Stafford. My kind of town!'

St Chad's for the stone carvings - a bit hit and miss as to whether it'll be open, i understand they struggle a bit for volunteers.

St Mary's also, though perhaps not quite as special.

Victoria Park is lovely - weather dependent though.

Shire Hall always worth a visit.

Ancient High House is a wonderful building and well presented inside - the Yeomanry museum in the attic also good.

Elevenses in The Grove - preferably at the window seats upstairs.

Pint at the Rose & Crown or Market Vaults, preferably both.

Got to be a good 2/3 hours or more there.

I think The Swan and The Sun should also get a mention and Farmers Market Day (2nd Saturday of the month) makes it the best day to visit.
