Anyone use whatsapp on their phone? It seems to of updated in the last day or so & you can now make calls for free ? Or at least that's how it seems...

Smallest daughter has a pay-as-you-go phone, with no credit on it at the moment - so, she shouldn't be able to make any calls....only she can now using whstsapp!

Anyhow - I can't find any info on Google about the latest update giving you calls too - do any of you lovely people know what's going on....I don't want to end up with dome massive bill from...somewhere....???

Don't use WhatsApp but Google hangouts gives free calls and texts to other hangouts users with no annual subscription

Hmmm Hangouts was pre-installed on my phone but its never really appeared to do anything...

Ahh thanks @joshua - thats really interesting - I wonder how we ended up with it - I've got mine & daughters phone set to only update apps if & when we request them, & we haven't - weird!!!
