Where can i get cheap material?

Me and a few friends were wanting to make some banners and flags for stafford rangers next season and was wondering if anyone knows of anywhere where we can get cheap material in which we can sewtogether to make a banner, Preferbly black and white material and about 150cm wide if possible

the market, theres a dress fabric shop that will sell material light enough to make flags, curtains would be too heavy

go to the one called johns fabrics ( i think) hes really struggling to meet his overheads bless. It the weeny one opposite the fancy dress stall i believe
