Who wants free photos?

You do, yes you do!

Have you a small business, sporting a website, based in the Stafford area?

In which case you definitely want to take advantage of this. As you know Jade clothing and I have been trying to set up a stafford link share for small businesses. Effectively it's for businesses to link themselves to other businesses by way of a link/logo on each other's websites.

I have decided to offer local businesses some free photos to use however they wish (only a few!) which I shall also display with a link to your business on my website. In return I would also like a link on your website to mine.

This is all in aid of drumming up some more business for local business men and women.

Please contact me via PM if you are interested or would like more information.

We've been thinking about getting some photo's of our doves actually in flight mate - a near impossibility to us but hopefully you could catch some good shots. Would be simple enough to do at a local park or something as well.

Will give you a shout at some point soon. Also, (and obviously not for free) what size is the maximum print you can produce? I'm thinking about posters / signage for use at wedding fayre's etc.

Birds in flight should be no problem buddy, I have practised quite a bit with tracking moving objects, birds are all about shooting at the right angle as it passes you. Birds of prey are great fun (unless you're a mouse, small rabbit or another bird!)

EDIT: I'm not actually sure what size I can print up to with reasonable quality, I have printed a couple of A1 (23.4 × 33.1 inches) with absolutely no loss in quality, so one would assume that it can be pushed further.

My camera shoots in 3872 * 2592, so at 100dpi you would get 26 x 39 inches give or take. Posters are usually between 50 - 100 dpi so theoretically you could double those dimensions (quadruple the image size) and only lose as much quality as you would get on those posters you see in bus shelters, which are hoooooooge!

Hi shoes,

I play for Trent Valley Cricket Club and have set up a website (www.trentvalleycricketclub.weebly.com). At the moment we don't have any photos of actual matches or players. I don't suppose you would be interested in coming along for an afternoon to take some pics which I could then use on the site would you? You would obviously be welcome to use them on your gallery etc too...

If this is of interest please PM me.

Cheers,

Aky

Sounds like a ball! I'll get my coat.......

I'd love to, one thing I'm lacking at the moment is sport as I only really go to motor racing events, so it would be nice to have some cricket shots. I have an idea however I'll contact you via PM!

So you have the equipment to physically print an A1 yourself? How much would I be looking at? PM me if preferred :)

Erm.... yes and no. I do actually have access to an A1 (A0 in fact) printer at work and a roll of gloss, so I would have to speak to the directors about buying some printer time off them. I can't see it being a problem but I'm not going to promise anything until I know for sure. If not I will happily provide you with an image and you to get printed yourself if necessary.

If Shoes can't manage to do your prints for you, I can print up to A2 with 15 mm margins, cost negotiable.
