Oh for Cods Hake, not another bloody fish pun!
It was closed the other day - then it was open. ...And now it's closed. The opening times are all over the shop. It's a shame really as it was a good 'un in its time. It's quite sad to see the drop in fortune to both The Windmill and Atlas chippy when Props and Reynolds closed.sorry for breaking the pun chain, but i only just noticed that this place (pun deliberately omitted lol) was closed that other day, despite the fact i drive past it every day!
anyone know why? it was hardly the best chippy in stafford, but it was ok, and it must have done tremendous business - it was on the way home for a lot of commuters, round the corner from a couple of pubs, viccy park, etc..
And the puddings & gravy, don't forget the puddings & gravy.I dont know of any chippie that made chips as good as the chip van that used to be outside the top of the world in the 1980s and fryed in beef dripping
And the curry sauce, don't forget the curry sauce.....And the puddings & gravy, don't forget the puddings & gravy.
And the blinds !,,,,,,,,What about the Romans!
If you can think of a better fish pun, let minnow...
