Actually i had 3 certainties today - one was that Froome would be an Abandonement, two was that Cancellara would win today's stage, three was that this game would go to penalties.

Two out of three ain't Meatloaf.

Narrowly averted. Phew!

So, Germany v. Argentina.

On first inspection it would appear to be one of those 'punch to the head/ kick in the nads?' kind of options. On second inspection it would appear to have remained pretty much unchanged from its first inspection.

So -
punch to the head = Germany?
kick in the nads = Argentina?

Without wishing to 'hex' anyone, i'm going for one to the down below. How about you?

Interesting, if not hugely exciting, game - in many ways what can be expected when a rock meets a hard place. Top drawer goal to decide it seems in keeping with a most excellent Tournament.
