World Record attempt

We are always moaning that Stafford as a county town is not really famous for anything. Perhaps we should go for a world record attempt? We thought most people blowing bubbles in one place.

So in the spirit of putting that rightcouldn't we do something musical? Or maybe it's more of a 'flash mob' thing?

What about Stafford Forum FM?, can the forum admins look into a streaming radio station as an add on to the forum, local bands, interviews, adverts, that sort of thing, i'm willing to help if needed. Also what about a chat room, for those of us who have to babysit some nights

We talked about this a while ago, but the only real prob is the amount of webspace we have (admin??). If every Forumite was able to upload a few tunes it'd be great! Thwack it on random and there's surely something you'll like within a coupla songs.

Again, this is something which we discussed. The only prob is that we'd need to fill it with pwoper good stuff for it to be worthwhile, and as we, (well, except you gota quid), are at work all day (and drinking all evening), who would do it for no wonga?? Any takers?

yeah, i think what people are on about here is quite different to what we discussed all those months ago.. people seem to be more on about a bona fide "radio" station now, or podcasts at least, which are more "talky"..

also, as tom pointed out, we wouldn't actually be able to play any copyrighted music without some kind of broadcast licence.. plus, i don't think it's the webspace admin would be worried about - it's the bandwidth, which would be rinsed if multiple people were streaming audio on a daily basis..

anyway - there's a thread somewhere discussing a radio station.. let's keep this one on track, eh
