The wife has 'decided' that we need a 'pet' fish/es.........

So does any one have a house for them kicking around?
I would have popped 'em in a yard of ale glass, but by
all accounts thats not recommended.....

What ya got, and how much? (please be kind!)

You can do that but it's rather bad for the fish as untill you clean them they are swimming around in rising levels of amonia, Which is deadly once it reaches a certain level. With a little filter you wouldn't have to clean it as much. Tap water is bad for them too unless you use some kind of water treatment.
All depends the amount of effort you want to put in really. Remember fish are living creatures same as a hamster, rabbit, rat (although considerably less gnawing is involved lol)

Lol very true gadget - fish dont chew the upholstery!

I never knew how harmful it could be, (although it does explain how they never lasted very long....)

I would take G's advice!!!

Please, please, PLEASE don't get a "fish bowl" i.e. one of those crappy little things.... fish need a decent amount of space so please take professional advice on the size to get, rather than just taking what you can get off here because its free / cheap...

And when I say professional advise, I don't mean pets at home... ;)
