Any Xbox live players in the region that would want to swap Gamertags & maybe play online sometime.

Just thought it would be good to play with some locals rather than gamerooms full of Yanks & Frenchies!!!

My birthday is in a week and i'm getting an xbox.

As soon as I get it setup and figure it out, will post my gamer tag up.

Oh and I will need some games too... i'm thinking Fifa 11 and COD-BO... are they any good or would you recommend better options?

For football I have only heard good things about FIFA 11 (I've only got '09), but you really can't beat CoD: Black Ops for playability.... Absolutely great game, especially online. And that is something you really must get - Xbox Live Gold. Pain in the backside that we have to pay for it, but worth the money as it extends the life of many games and adds a totally new dimension to the playability of many of them.

Other games I would personally recommend are all epics Halo, Fable, Assassins Creed and Mass Effect.... all of which have several games in the series.

Just ordered Black Ops and Fifa 11 last night from Tesco online. Cost about £45 for both which isn't too bad. They have 20% off games at the mo, plus 9% quidco, a voucher for extra clubcard points etc....

Yeah paying for Live is a PITA!!!! Just got to find a good deal for it.

A mate had the newest Assassins Creed which was ok but I wasn't a fan of the time travel shiz... from the adverts I just thought it was constantly set in Ye Olde England (or wherever) but the modern stuff spoiled it a bit for me.

Great deal for two top games there mate. always worth shopping around. I usually try www.gamestracker.comjust to check prices. Or www.dealspwn.com/category/games-deals that blogs the latest deal in the games world (it also has a price comparison page)

Although I thoroughly enjoyed playing the Assassins Creed games, I agree that the flitting back in time did spoil the plot line. Gotta love the gameplay though.

And then there's the biggy.....Kinect. You have any plans for investing in the newest technology???

I have a Wii and although I understand that Kinect has developed that theme even further, I don't think i'll bother.

The reason I never use my Wii is because its too much hassle when you're sat on the sofa on a Friday night after a few beers, to have to swing your arms around (or even have to stand up)... button bashing is the way forward for me.

Also I don't think the software is developed enough for Kinect yet... in a year maybe there will be better uses of it, and in that time the price should have come down too.
