Hi Tony, do you need to be a member of Gym and Tonic to go to the classes there? I have been doing ashtanga for a couple of years now, would the Wednesday class be too easy if it's beginner level?

Hi Lucy, You do not have to be a member to attend classes at Gym & Tonic.

In the Monday evening class (7.30pm) sometimes I do a talk thru after 8 A's & 5's. Your contribution adds to the overall level and sounds like you could rasie the ceiling of practice.

The Wednesday evening class (6.30pm) is at Active Arts, Grey Friars, Foregate Street. It is really an extension of the Monday class in the sense that we do some 'conditioning practices' to support the over all practice. So hamstrings, twists, wall work and look at techniques to improve our approach to our practice. Some I speak about stuff pertaining to Ashtanga. Good class if I should say so myself

Thanks. I tend to do the primary series, although we do variations on some poses if we can't get into them.

My teacher is off to Goa in December so I might pop along to keep my practice up.
