Your traffic solutions

Spouting nonsense since the day I learned to talk
police would have to carry out sting operations if it became a problem

it could be implemented on the bus lanes we already have i.e. Chell road, bridge street

That would make no difference at all to the traffic problems.

It wouldn't, but removing the bus lane at Chell Road to make it 2 lanes going towards the station would massively reduce the number of incidents of road rage that occur due to it going from 2 lanes to 1 lane. The number of t*ssers who fly past all the staitonary traffic and then demand to get let in drives me nuts! And nope, I never let any in :D

You would need to have two lanes all the way down, plus the one coming up - it would need some alterations to the Sainsbury crossing area.

Big red signs on Falklands roundabout say use 2 lanes for Telford

I pretend I'm going to Telford then change my mind just by Iceland

We may have met

you not seen all the signs that tell you to use both lanes for the a518. that is how the transport planners have designed the road to maximize capacity and reduce the queuing times for everyone

Enjoying a drop of red.

That's what the two lanes are intended for, for the traffic to merge at the end. But for each tosser you claim demands to be let in there is at least two arseholes in the left lane that won't let anyone in no matter what.

The fact you publicly state you never let anyone in makes you an idiot in my book.

i think kyoto49 may have admitted to driving without due care and consideration for other road users? why would you not allow people to merge when safe. it doesn't add any measurable time on to your journey. Pedestrian, cyclist, car driver, we are all road users at the end or day why not just be nice to each other.

It might be worth trying a shared space scheme in Chell Road, take out the crossing lights and bus lane and see what happens.

London isn't congested because of the number of vehicles on the road.

London is congested because of the number of pedestrians on the road

Make Newport Road one way at The Eagle. Pedestrianise the area between the railway station and park.

Move Sainsburys to the Morrisons site and close the car park making the site a lake surrounded by a 4 metre wall

Remove traffic lights from the Falklands

Make River way one way

St Leonards Ave one way the other way

Move to Hyde Lea

Job done

I thought you were suggesting making the river one way - which, of course, it already is, if you were to stop rowing and if we still had rowing boats for hire at the Baths and the New Inn.

A sign would be good like merge in turn or use the Highway Code give way to the right ? It was In my day anyway

You want the Highway code on a sign?

Wow

There are painted arrows indicating lanes merge

What's the matter with people?

The second lane has been extended for a reason. To be used

The polite and gentle wait with indicator activated beats aggressive tin crumple on 8 out 10 occasions

Too many sheeps

That could take some time to explain.

There are lots of things you can't do now, because you can't trust others to know what the real rules are.

People can't even flick a finger to indicate their intentions - it's not like you have to wind down the window and stick your whole arm out.
