From another thread:

Found my new favourite shop in town..... Yum Yum . :D Could have easily bought some of everything in the shop and stocked up on broken choccie biscuits and loads of sweets and chocolate at really cheap prices. Pleased with myself when the bags of m&m's I bought in there at '2 for a £1' were £1 a bag in Asda .

Is it short dated stuff, or just surplus stock?

Best Before dates for M&M's 7th April (still taste fresh - one big bag gone already - bang goes yet another diet! ) , Cadburys Bars & Toblerone are June dates. My £2 box of choccie biscuits got August Date.

I always stick strictly to 'use by' dates , but as I was told on my hygiene courses 'Best Before' dates are just a guideline ..........

Popped in today, wasn't particularly impressed. The guy behind the counter seemed more interested in having a mobile phone discussion than serving me. The place itself seemed a bit haphazard and disorganised, it just looks like yet another stack 'em high flog 'em cheap type place like Poundland, Home Bargains & all the rest.

I came out with a bag of soft sweets that when I opened smelt a bit sort of stale and sweaty, perhaps a bit like they had been bagged up by someone who was not overly concerned about hygiene. I guess in this warm weather having ready bagged up sweets in plastic means that they'll go a bit sticky and nasty. I don't think I'll be going back.

I also went into yum yum for a quick something to snack on, very unimpressed as the two women were talking to each other and one was using her mobile in front of me as I stood waiting to pay... after waiting a little longer I put my good on the counter and said I will leave then .. she just said " ER" to her mate with her mobile in her hand ..... staff training, customer wants to buy something ... whast that then ..wont be back

She's been on the phone the last three times I've been in and I only go in this time of year for the tins of fruit and nuts
