Remember when it was the Top of the World and people would travel in on coaches from Wolverhampton

That's how I met hubby .......... he travelled in on a coach from West Bromwich . (Then pretended he'd missed the coach back and slept on our settee. ;) When my parents discovered him next morning I had to say I'd known him about 6 weeks. They'd have had a fit if they found out I'd only met him a few hours earlier :D )

Those were the days when I 'lived' in The Grapes. Liked it much better than the current Grapes.

It was that once and ended up as Riley's - if it still isn't..

But, in between...?
Its the inbetween bit that I cant remember. Maybe it only lasted a few weeks, I remember the walls inside were painted a light blue colour, wooden floor, lots of dry ice and a stage type thing at one end that we all nearly fell off...It looked more like a school hall inside than a club... Eclipse possibly?

Spouting nonsense since the day I learned to talk
There was a club before Rileys, can't remember the name but seem to remember that someone got stabbed very badly (possibly fatally?) and that was one of the reasons why it got closed down.

Charisma is referred to here - http://www.knowhere.co.uk/Stafford/Staffordshire/Midlands/info/clubs

update... Charisma, opened, closed, opened, and then closed and is being sold!! (mainly due to some idiot getting stabbed in the back one night - I say idiot because he did it himself trying to smuggle a weapon into the club in his arse-cheeks..)

I make no claim to the veracity or otherwise of the statement above.

Yep
I have the full list now, which will hopefully be published in two volumes next year
I will have to let you carry on or else there will be nothing left new to read about
You could always try and locate the DUKES HEAD in the town, if you've got a spare 100 hours or so

Thought the Dukes Head was a myth derived from someone's misreading of an old trade directory, or was that another non-existant pub?
