The Post House, Stafford

RPO

These are very serious accusations you are making about members of my staff, I believe you should at least pass on the information directly to myself so that indeed I can deal with this issue in the proper manner.
Hi Chris, I didn't take their names but when I am next in I will lookout for them and let you know.

Rumours are constantly flying around about different businesses closing especially in this economic climate, but on a totally different point I would really like to know why the Post House has blocked me on Twitter for no apparent reason??

love the Post house!
To be fair I havent been very often but on the occasions that I have (both private partys and for meals) I have enjoyed the proffesionalism of the staff, the lovely food and the modern decor. Not a complaint from my other half either who is far more out spoken and critical than I am when it comes to eating out.

If modern decor is slashed seating upturned then modern it is

PeterD we are sorry you feel this way however I do hope my initial post in this thread explains how you may have received the incorrect information. A lot of information gets misconstrued and this certainly is a prime example.

em505, I’m sorry about that I will look in to it today for you. However our policy regarding social media networking is that if comments are unhelpful, not constructive or unnecessarily derogatory towards the business and these are posted on several occasions we feel it necessary to block this user.

John Marwood, I am sorry that the 4 seats have offended you on your visit. The high usage of our seats show how many people are using them on a regular basis. The manufacturers are surprised they have not survived the wear and tear. However these are in the process of being changed as quickly as possible by the manufacturer.

Having been in the trade and still working in it Vandalism is a big problem and i do feel sorry for the Post House its a very expensive problem as well to sort out. Broken toilets hand dryers pulled of the wall slashed seats I've seen it all over the years.
Mindless Idiots no other word for it.

If this about the seating - it would appear the vandalism is in the manufacturing, not useage

Of course I am not Arthur Negus, nor shall I ever be..

Could quite easily have been nipped in the bud if a TPH representative had clarified on here a year ago ;)

Anyway not to dwell on the past.... you're here now, that's what counts.
There's life (that goes on) outside the forum, you do know that right?

You said that right?

I merely hinted at the possibility of them not having to do that, as they were running a successful business at the time and not worrying about keeping the forumites in the loop with how good (or bad) business was/is, that's all buddy.

So, with that in mind, there is life outside this forum...!

Fair enough, but surely any good business a) wants to promote itself and b) wants to nip in the bud any rumours (of which there were plenty flying around) that shed it in a bad light or will drive custom away.... i.e. Chris Lewis doing an excellent job.....

So you are correct, they didn't HAVE to post on the forum, but (going full circle to my original post and before that, the negative rumours about their business), doing so may have made things a bit smoother / successful in the early days.

Thanks for the response but I'm still blocked and as I said in my first post I've been blocked for no apparent reason because I'm certain I haven't posted any tweets/comments that are "unhelpful, not constructive or unnecessarily derogatory" toward TPH! Just thought you'd like to know that you're unnecessarily blocking followers on Twitter!

Well I did say I’d report back after my night out and I’m pleased to say we had a very pleasant evening.
Firstly I’d like to say a very big thank you to your staff, who continued to smile all night and were very professional, I hope you look after them because they deserve it, and hats off to who ever trained them.
Your front of house operation went like clock work.
Food was served on time hot and the portion about right, quality was very good.
Drinks considering the venue were priced about right, I was on the real ale all night and the only thing I would say is it’s a little on the cool side from the upstairs bar, but I suspected that’s to do with the distance from the cellar to the bar and was confirmed by the young lady behind the bar so no big shake there, it was still a good pint.
Will I visit again ….Yes certainly
Would I recommend any body to go …. Yes I would
Its an upmarket venue and what the town needs, somewhere to take the wife or girl friend for a pleasant night out.
And I’m pleased they have got over there teething problems it may have taken time but its certainly paid off from what I experienced last night.
