I've just seen on BBC news that all West Midlands speed cameras have been switched off due to the cost of developing images but I'm not sure whether this includes Staffordshire.
I can't understand why any councils would want this to be public knowledge as surely a non-operational speed camera is still a deterrent.
It will be interesting to see if the accident rate increases as a result.
