Baswich airport? is that for those tiny planes used by the pixie people?

I assume myself that they're going to rework the end of the cycle path around the back of Cornwall drive.

So the green strip right next to the railway line is to be used for houses?

How on earth are you expected to get to them?

The Plan I saw shows 2 entrances, one via Truro Way and another off Cornwall Drive, just on the fairly blind bend before the cycle path; this entrance would serve a cul de sac. Madness really. I don't think Stafford Planners want any green spaces!

Cream Cake. When planning applications are being determined planning officers are required to take into account the NEW HOMES BONUS, is this what you are referring too? The New Homes Bonus is a statutory material consideration, therefore, planning officers should take this account when considering the pros and cons of a development.

Planning officers are required to grant planning permission unless the adverse impacts of doing so would outweigh the benefits.

In respect of the number of accesses; 2 accesses are required when 100 or more houses are proposed. Is this the case here? This is a highways requirement.

Do not think that many houses are proposed, although long term I feel a LOT more will be built on the back of this. This development will eventually stretch along the corridor to the Vauxhall garage at Walton.

No - the proposal I saw was much less than 100 houses. It is not a very large area. Planning officers do not consider the impact of developments on existing residents. Apparently there isn't a problem with traffic on this side of town and we all know that's not true. I wonder how people in the Planning department travel to work ?

Agreed - I actually saw some surveyors on the field that faces Walton garage a few weeks ago.

The developers might be based in Billund in Denmark
If this is the case then they could achieve 100 plus homes on that site

In my experience developers won't undertake any works that they don't have to, as such the fact that they are proposing 2 accesses would suggest to me that there is a long term to develop further phases.

Planning officers do consider impact on existing residents and their highway colleagues consider the highways impact. The issue is, local residents wrongly assume that applications should be refused based on a loss of view or development of a greenfield. I'm afraid this is wrong. A right to a view is not a planning consideration and greenfield sites need to be developed in order to meet the Council's growth requirements.

Traffic monitoring system is now on site and surveyors were there a few days ago. It will be interesting to see the results of the traffic monitoring report as there are lots of speeding cars on the estate. Markpa12003 - I note your comments but I am not talking about a view! The schools are already full in this area and the traffic is a joke so it looks like the Planning dept / highways have got it wrong so far...

90% of us live on 9% of the land

I on the other hand have a castle in the sky

From where I can conclude that the Saxon Roman Norman Celt types behave far betterly when space between them is increased.

The Mongols need most space as there horses can get a bit frisky - The Netherlanders and the Flemish tolerate quite a lot of each other, whereas the Icelanders are, in the main, one big happy family

Is the pillbox still positioned next the railway bridge on Basich Lane?
