Just to add, had a nice meal today at the swan, service and veggie food excellent!
Goats cheese yum yum!

But was a little disappointed by the 'Mixed Breads' One would assume this means different types of bread, not just cheap slices of baguette, one white, one whole grain.....

And I was surprised how much it all came too, I paid the same at Jaimie Olivers restaurant and I must say the food was far superior there.

First time at the swan, afraid to say I wont be going back.

Thanks for your feedback, will certainly take the point you have raised on board - which as far as I can see from your post is, offer a better selection of bread, carry on providing as you quote "nice meal, service and veggie food excellent"

But then suffer the consequence of you never coming back - oh well, if all our customers were of the same mind set - I'd be putting up the For Sale Sign tomorrow.

What a wonderful world we live in :)

I did have a lovely time!
Just I was disappointed and thought it was too expensive considering what I got!
Everyone's different and expects different things for their money, and I just thought I paid an awful lot for not a lot!
As I mentioned I have eaten at other restaurants and have got far more for my money, that's why I most probably wont be returning as, in my opinion I can get better for less elsewhere.

Although I do admire you work in Stafford, without the Lewis Partnership the high street would have less character, choice and charm, you give us thousands of jobs and great experiences!

But I just wasn't particularity impressed sorry! :)

Sampled The Swan for veggie night, and very nice it was. Hope that it will continue! Any feedback on how it's done in its first two weeks?

Feedback so far has been most encouraging, with a growing regular group visiting each week, seems such a shame that "Crazy Rat Lady" won't give us a try :-(

We have some interesting new dishes for Next weeks event.

Hope to see some Forumites then.

If it helps, this Crazy Spaniel Lady had a great time last night and will be there next week. Do pass on to your staff how impressed we were with the atmosphere and service. They couldn't have been more helpful or friendly.

Thanks, it was a leap of faith going for a Vegan and Vegetarian night, but mainly due to the passionate feedback we have had from the forum we knew it was worth having a go at. Many thanks for your kind words about our team.

I'm going to The Swan for the vegetarian night again tonight. The menu changes regularly, the food is great and even carnivore friends enjoy it. Best of all, to date I haven't seen broccoli bake.

So great to have this available locally.

My husband has, without exception, decided that my food is better than his whenever we fly anywhere. Yet still something stops him requesting a vegetarian or vegan dish. I'm not sure whether this is some form of extreme honesty or simply that he comes from Manchester.
