Xbox One or Playstation 4?

Couldn't find a thread already on this and I still haven't purchased either as I'm waiting to see more games available and / or to see if either have new console teething problems.

Buuuuuut, that said, which one did you go for? Or are going for? And why?

I may go for the PS4. It seems to have better graphics and is also cheaper. It used to be that Xbox was the craze but i only got one due to friends having one. PlayStation had some really awesome games in 2013 like The last of us. But mainly who wants to pay for online anymore?? I'm currently waiting until they bring more games out for it but i use my gaming pc really as the graphics are amazing, much better than any console.

Yeah I'm of the same sort of thoughts.

I still have my 360 with dozens of games, but haven't even touched it for near 18 months other than to play movies. Had it because friends had it in the COD days. But if there's ever a time to switch brands, it's now.

Weighing up the odds game-wise I think mostly. The consoles sort of still do the same I guess.

Haven't used a PC for gaming for years! Counter Strike was my flavour back in the day.

Yeh it was all about COD and Halo but mine has been packed away for a couple of years now too. Each console has great games of their own but recently i think PlayStation have done very well. Another thing is PS4 is so much better looking!

I never played on counter strike. I built myself a gaming rig a year back with the hd7970 card and the graphics are fantastic on games like farcry 3. But it will be nice to play on a console again. I guess everyone is waiting to see what SEGA brings out until they make their purchase ;)

If you like multiplayer you are pretty much stuck with what your mates buy, assuming you play with regular mates anyway. Its always been PC for me, and a nintendo for when mates are over as nothing comes close for multiplayer on one device. Saying that I've not had a console since the gamecube!

Unreal Tournament, did you ever play that? Sure the newer one I played was UT 2003.

I still game pretty much most days on my PC in fact i have just started to re-play the Cod games i am half way through Cod 1, i have them all except Cod3 because it was not released on the pc, some of them i have never played.

Loved that. We hired out a meeting room at the swan for a clan LAN party which happily coincided with UT2003 coming out, so we got to yell at each other in person when we got kills. That was great fun, the room was all whiteboard so we had our player names written above our heads to aid in giving abuse :D

although for fps like BF4 i use Pc.
ive signed up to the playstation network too and that gives you free games every month to download to the PS3 /4 and vita if you own one of those too.

currently playing a very addictive game called dont starve on the PS4 atm .

I'm stumped at how wrong Microsoft got it wrong!!! I was a ps1 and ps2 fan and moved to the 360 and pre E3 last year I was worried about the reports of what MS were gonna do, I'd like to know who advised them to take the path they've chosen because it's wrong on the "gaming" front. If you want the more capable gaming machine the ps4 is the only option.

I only expect a maximum of 2 more generation home consoles to be made and to be fair it might only be one more due to the increase in broadband speeds.

Not big on gaming personally, but these things are a lot more than games consoles.

There is an Xbox chez nous, used predominantly for Netflixing.

Approach with caution - Netflix can seriously harm your relationship with the real, and virtual, World.
