Well if this doesn't encourage folk to stay healthy nothing will.
It was a contributory factor to my decision to try and get fit last year - the writing has been on the wall for a long time.

I noticed on the BBC story this morning all the usual inaccuracies given yet another airing. The hospital never had a chance with so much of the media in the Governments pocket.

Anyone know if we're likely to have a National Health Action Party Candidate come the election?

If there is they get my vote, can't see myself voting for any of the usual tossers and that will be better than drawing a large cock on the ballot.

In the long term this is great news, Stafford have better management and continue to improve, Stafford this.
We can recruit better and in a few years services will no doubt be expanded as the populace grows.maternity numbers have been increased once already and hunt and Cameron are backing a consultant led maternity so there is a result.

Giles, are you saying this is nothing to worry about?
Does anybody have any ideas how this will impact people in Stafford on a day to day basis ?

A doctor writes...

I understand that the whole county of Staffordshire will be placed into special measures with regard to health provision

The whole health economy is seen as failed

This includes the new Clinical Commissioning Groups - CCG's, which replaced health trusts

This will mean yet more friends of Dave, private business consultants, highly paid individuals and groups coming in to carry out yet more faux inspections and who will eat away at our ever declining health provision budgets

Stay indoors, do not operate machinery and plan a career move to the beautiful south

Es domāju, ka viņš ir, lai gan viņš būtu uztraucies, ka neatliekamās palīdzības nodaļu būs būt aizvēršanas drīz, ja viņš cieš slikta reakcija uz to.

Slikta reakcija. Tas izklausās jaunās pārspēt combo no balss nosaukums. Uzskatu, ka viņš ir pašvaldības amatpersona ar ātro palīdzību fetišs, bet ne slikts persona

I don't remember saying it was nothing to worry about?

Personally I think that shoving 50% more workload onto two other trusts in terms of financial management isn't going to work.

The only thing I'm glad about is that the fat cat administrators are going to go home now, the bill for their work is probably £10 million or more with £1 million in expenses. That's money that the trust doesn't have and is a drain on resources.
