It still isn't open yet. I believe the interior is all kitted out now and they are waiting to appoint a baker in order to open.

What decade that is likely to happen in, is anyone's guess.

There used to be a Jasper's in Tithe Barn Road and then it became Lowe's. It was next door to me and the best bread and cakes on tap, especially the custard slices.

The Jaspers in Baswich is all kitted out and ready to go, but they said they wouldn't bother to open it as they could not get enough they custom due to there being no parking available since they demolished the pub.

However, the new co-op has been open a couple of months and there is a half-decent car park and they are still not open.....

Ask them directly because no bugger on here knows the answer, seemingly.

I did a few weeks back... and all he could say was "it should be open soon"

By all accounts the previous tennants had left it in a poor state and in need of some work.

It must be nearly three years since Chatwins left the shop. I'm pretty sure it could have been cleaned and sorted by now.

My thoughts are that Jaspers do not want to re-open on Bodmin Avenue and just keep making excuses why they 'can't'. It's a shame because it would have lots of trade.

Similar to the fish and chip shop down silk more lane, it's had a refurb but still not opened. People must have a lot of money, or not whatever the case maybe
