Staffordshire County Flag

Stafford Chevron

A few posts under my belt
Fully support this and I have written to the addresses given.
This picture of the County Town Coat of Arms clearly displays the Stafford Knot and the basic chevron design without the County Council's bollox of a rampant lion anywhere to be seen.

That is fantastic! Thank you very much! You are quite right about the arms of Stafford. :D

Please get friends and family to contact Flag Institute, we need as many people contacting the Flag Institute as possible as we fear registration of the Council's banner is imminent.

Guess what Gramaisc, I ain't a heraldic expert :stafford:and with the flag flapping about in the breeze its hard to tell the difference anyway. Either might be correct but neither has any place on the Staffordshire County Flag.

Agreed - and neither am I, as it seems that he is actually a lion passant guardant, due to him looking at us - but, it wouldn't matter if he wasn't there.

Not many lions around here, as far as I know...

I ♥ cryptic crosswords
I also think it would be better without the lion

Or the knot

Or the waffle

But in white

And without a flagpole

In Egyptian cotton
