Stafford Traffic.

Not all of us who live in Castletown, were born there

I propose a Task force to look into this matter

Followed by an Inquiry

Or two

These Inquires will remove skilled hard working families from their usual jobs to carry out the Taskforce thus resulting in a reduction in standards in their own work which in turn will result in me setting up a number of Inquires

That

Is how I roll

Some cleverdick has decided to close Baswich Lane down to one lane over the railway bridge. So anyone thinking of going that way to avoid Radford Bank just go home and don't bother :)

I've not long been across it both ways. It wasn't much of an inconvenience (everything is relative and I might be getting immune to these delays) .... but I wouldn't like to be going that way if they're still there during the rush hour. It might catch a few out doing the school run. ( ;) "It's an ill wind ....")

No, some dickhead!

Sarchasm :)

It was obviously not clever to block up the unofficial diversion route. Saying that, you don't tend to see "Diversion" signs in Stafford, these traffic jams and closures are totally normalised now. Perhaps there's a sign in Cannock saying "Stafford - Closed".

But yeah, lunchtime traffic isn't that heavy, if they aren't done by 5.30 then Baswich Lane isn't going to be very good. Thankfully I felt well enough to cycle back into work at lunchtime, although I'm pretty sure it's all these roadworks making me ill.

Roadworks.org says 11-12th for these works.

I have driven into town this morning. The few traffic lights that I encountered were all green for me and seemed well tuned to the traffic few. I drove past a couple of small roadworks, which were very carefully arranged to cause zero impediment to the traffic. The free parking was handy, too.

I also drove on the Castletown by-pass.

A pleasurable journey all round.

Yes, I managed a trip to Wildwood & back this morning & only got held up for about a minute by the new Aldi, I'm glad now that I didn't take the 'diversion'!
