Helloo, only moi. I am after a kettle,(for my sister) that can be used on an open fire. And possibly a large trivet?
We used to use one many moons ago when we were a lot younger. And, now she has 2 open fires at her place, she would like to use one again. To make a perfect cup of tea. I suggested an ironmongers, but where are they hiding these days?
I know of Mountfords in Stone, but otherwise, that's it.

Yeah, well her pillock of a other half bunged the one out of the caravan on, and the handle melted. It needs to be of some sort of metal, which will withstand having its bum shoved onto hot coals.

How urgent is this? I'll have a look in Ireland in a few weeks, this sort of thing can be rather more common over there.

Erm, the cook shop at Trentham does them, do they still have a branch on Salter Street?]
Thank you darling xx
I have a feeling Cooks is gone....

Not that urgent, they had a power cut couple of days ago, she has boil a drop of water in a saucepan on the fire to make a cuppa. Decided its the best one shes had for yonks. That kettle looks perfect. If she gets one before you disappear, i'll let you know. :D

OK - I'll have a look round - you would find the odd thing at the boot sale, too - though, that is fading for the winter now.

There's a lot on eBay in all sorts of styles - though a lot are the Japanese tea ceremony style, there are some chunky western ones, too.

A decent glove is worth having, too.
