If you want this forum to just be a private little club that scares off newcomers with sarcastic answers and "in" jokes, you guys are doing a great job. What a great advert for Stafford.

Yohh, steady up a bit.
Think of the forum as a big 'virtual pub'
Yeah, you get a few nobbers now and again, just don't sit with them.
Your computer on the blink? There's a chap comes in here that's great with that kind of stuff, I'll point him out to you next time he's in.
Worried about your car getting through it's MOT, there used to be a guy came in here a lot, his number will be behind the bar.
Likewise if your central heating boiler's playing up.
There's no food yet but there's a folder at the end of the bar with suggestions of where, and possibly where not, to go.
Special occasion coming up? there's a chappy that although he's got four of his own restaurants to run, finds time to drop in here now and again. The other week I gave him my contact details and he sent me a £10 off voucher to use next time I use one of his restaurants and he's even going to E-mail me when he has any special offers on. How good is that?
Next time the Woverhampton road's buggered because of an accident on the M6 you'll probably hear about it here first.
There's a few girls get in here that often give each other a bit of support when their kids, husbands or health is playing them up.
What a pub ! Somebody get a round in.

I do agree with most of what you say and the forum is a great place when you get used to it. Saying that, its not always as simple as 'don't sit with the nobbers' (*snigger*) when anyone is free to comment on anyone else's thread.

Having said that, as I said, once you're used to the (what passes for) humor, banter, double entendre or clever comments from some on here and look past that, it can be massively useful and informative, as your post suggests.

.
Take your point there, there's always someone in the pub that wants to voice their opinion where it may not be wanted, having said that you can always ignore them.

They had fish pie as dish of the day. And cream of cauliflower soup. I realise I am going against the grain here on this forum by answering a question directly. I hope you can all cope with this straightforward "question and answer" scenario.

Never actually seen inside this place, but just taken a selfie-pod booking for in just a few weeks so I'll be getting the opportunity to have a nosey.

Big sale on in the farm shop.
Apparently they're looking to expand the wedding function side of the business as well as more dining space.

Called in today for a coffee on way past and the new restaurant is up and running.

Looks like a nice menu if a little pricey and they've got a bar area where the loos used to be. They've even got their own bitter on tap. Unfortunately I was driving so couldn't sample any.

I ♥ cryptic crosswords
Beautiful refurb and layout

Just a shame they forgot to hire anyone who knows about food and drink

Clueless meal
Cloudy beer
Coffee with the strength of warm water

However my actress friend was delightful company

Stone's very own Post House if they're not careful

don't mention the blinds

Went last night for Gurly's birthday.
Drinks a bit on the pricey side but really good food, portions just right.
Recommended.
