I haven't yet stepped inside the verso lounge, so my view of the interior is only based on photos I've seen.

I was expecting the verso lounge to have a minimalistic modern interior. However, from what i have seen it's the opposite. It appears to have mustard colour walls and a similar interior 'feel' to the swan with all its clocks and mirrors on the wall. I was hoping for something different.

Their grand opening much shouted about on Facebook was apparently a private party. The hope is that they are now open to others. Swinging by on Monday.

That's how they style them all.

Popped into Verso Lounge last night for a pint and a nosey. I like it, the place has been nicely done out in the 'Loungers' style & the staff are friendly (+ there seemed to be plenty of them). I must admit, I did expect it to be busier being as it was Friday night & the place is brand spanking new! However, they do seem to be marketing themselves as an all-day bar rather than a night time venue.

I walked past yesterday after visiting the library (which I find a bit depressing given the way it's gone downhill over the years).

I thought Verso's interior was fine ..... but just not in keeping with the exterior. I suppose, given that they wanted something in that part of town, they have to take whatever's available. But I take your point - maybe a modern interior would have been better.

Not sure of a private party, I had coffee in there at 10 and back for tapas at 12noon yesterday (opening day).

In truth until walking past I didn't know it was to open yet, so it was a surprise as not seen/ read anything about an.opening date. It will do rather well there especially as word spreads.

Interior absolutely fine and very stylish, a nice experience and addition to the town.

It's actually difficult

Your milk is likely foreign
Your meat almost certainly
The wine you'd hope was
The eggs unlikely from this country

Speaking in general terms
I'm happy to answer:-
Milk from Wells Dairy in Bradley
Meat same butcher for 20 years A&M meats locally sourced with the vast majority from local abattoirs, or other regional suppliers used at times.
Wine - as per the label on the bottle!
Eggs - Lower Farm eggs Bednall,

John Marwood

I ♥ cryptic crosswords
Milk - Wells Bradley ( fridge is fixed now )
Meat - dunna buy it
Wine - as per bath tub
Eggs - Eccleshall Chickens
Owls - In the fog
7 Potato more - Behind your back

I went in today with my 2 daughters. It was busy but not overcrowded. Easily found a table.

I had an all day breakfast as did one of my daughters. My other daughter had buttermilk fried chicken, and we all really enjoyed our food.

You find a table and order at the bar, The staff were lovely, very efficient and the place is very welcoming, although it would be better in an old building to match the retro decor.

Will definitley be going again. Also noticed that they're fitting out a dessert and gelato shop opposite, we'll be spoilt for choice soon!

Have you tried mybelle too? I went there a couple of weeks with the other half. Very impressed and loved the feel of the place. Cocktails; beer; coffee; snacks and ice cream.

I've been in there twice, but I have to say I'm not keen. It's too small and I think it's quite overpriced to be honest.
